Description
For the treatment and prevention of flea and tick infestations in dogs and for the treatment of demodectic mange caused by Demodex canis. This systemic-acting medication works immediately and persistently for 12 weeks to kill adult and juvenile ticks (Ixodes ricinus and Rhipicephalus sanguineus) and fleas (Ctenocephalides felis and Ctenocephalides canis).
Fleas and ticks must attach themselves to the host and begin feeding in order to be exposed to the active substance. The product demonstrates immediate efficacy against fleas within 8 hours of the flea attaching to the host and 12 hours in the case of ticks.
In a controlled study, treatment with fluralaner resulted in the complete elimination of demodectic mange mites from treated dogs.
